We are looking to add to our business development team in the USA and Europe. Cloud-based, mature technology start-up run by a veteran team that has built and exited other software companies.
Description
Primarily an “inside sales” role, the BDM may work remotely and may be the first point of contact between the Company and the prospect. The role will require intensive product and industry training, and will focus on using the telephone, e-mail and social media to generate qualified leads for “outside sales”. The BDM will report to the Sales Manager, as prescribed by the Company.
Requirements
The BDM position requires a process-oriented skill-set. Previous experience in business development, sales and/or marketing is preferable, though not required. Strong computer and organizational skills, integrity and work ethic are required. Ability to work remotely. Knowledge of energy markets, trading technology and/or commodity markets generally a plus, but not required.
Compensation
The BDM role will be specifically measured, with compensation based on success against objective KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) The compensation will be incentive-driven, based on experience of the applicant. Opportunity exists for ownership and advancement.
